Take a Look Inside: Discover what Introduction to Vedic Palmistry is all about.

LESSON 1

Principles of Hast jyotish within the Vedic Tradition

This lesson introduces students to the history of hast jyotish (Vedic palmistry) and Vedic philosophy. They will examine the philosophical background that contributes to the understanding of palmistry.

LESSON 2

The Historical Roots of Palmistry in World Cultures

In this lesson, students will look at the golden period of palmistry in India as a spiritual science and the origins of the modern-day palmistry, known as hast jyotish. They will also examine the impact of the Church on palmistry and see the breakthrough modern-day palmistry has achieved with dermatoglyphics.

LESSON 3

Geography of the Hand

This lesson will familiarize students with the language of the hand, from the basics components of the palm (the mounts, the major lines and the minor lines) to the relationship between our thoughts and emotions (quadrangle); the synergy between our thoughts and actions (Kalpnic path), the significance of the three gunas, representing the energy of body, mind and soul; the five elements representing our five fingers and a host of other philosophical and structural aspects of Vedic palm reading.

LESSON 4

The Activity of the Hand

Students will learn the difference between the two hands—the dominant and non-dominant. The dominant hand relates to the conscious aspect of our personality and our level of self-awareness; the non-dominant hand relates to our subconscious hidden emotions and ingrained habits of which we might be unaware.

LESSON 5

Morphology Analysis

Students will learn to determine the level of balance in the hand by interpreting the morphological attributes of the palm: texture, consistency, color and temperature of the mounts. When the morphological attributes are balanced, it is likely that the major and minor lines are also balanced.

LESSON 6

The Fingers: Our Conscious Expression

In Hast Jyotish, the five fingers are known as panchanguli. Panch means five and anguli translates as fingers. The fingers reveal how we express ourselves on a conscious level; they are the interface between us and the world.

LESSON 7

The Nails: Armour of Our Nervous System

In this lesson, students will also explore the importance of the fingernails, often referred to in palmistry as the armour of our nervous system. They will examine the four basic classifications of nail types and various formations that can negatively impact the nail.

LESSON 8

The Thumb: Indicator of Our Individuality

In Hast Jyotish, the thumb is referred to as angushth, which translates as supreme among the fingers. The thumb is considered an especially important feature of the hand. It is unique. In India, certain schools of palmistry specialize almost exclusively in thumb analysis, as the thumb is considered a complete representation of our character.

LESSON 9

Hand Types: Different Paths to Personal Growth

For the purpose of identification and analysis, the infinite variety of hand formations has been categorized into a structured classification system. This system identifies seven distinctive hand types. These types reflect the nature of our personality as determined by the evolutionary patterns the soul has chosen to go through during the many karmic cycles of birth and death.

LESSON 10

The Art of Taking Handprints

In this lesson, you will learn the procedure to take clear and accurate handprints and the information you need to collect about the person.
